Why teach? I had worked in business for several years after graduating from college. I didn’t feel fulfilled and I was bored. I wanted a job where I could make a difference and interact on a more personal level.
I love that no two days are the same. I never get bored at my job and I love a good laugh with a kid.
When I’m not teaching, I love to travel. My family just purchased a small Airstream and we have been on some great adventures this summer in our own little space. I also enjoy doing anything that is creative-cooking, decorating, and art.
I feel like as a teacher you always have a million things all going on at one time. I would love to clone a copy of myself just to do just the grading. If I truly had superpower, it would be to take away a child’s pain. The hardest part of my job is sitting across a desk from a child that truly is struggling.
