Why did you become a teacher? I want to encourage high school students to pursue their dreams. I also want to help make sure high school students have a positive high school experience and make memories.
What has been the best part of teaching that you didn’t expect when entering the profession? Building relationships with students.
What is one thing you wish non-teachers knew about what you do? Teaching is more than just content, it is a profession of the heart and soul. Teachers are mentors and counselors that go far beyond anything learned in the classroom.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment as a teacher? Teaching alongside former students!
What is your favorite thing to do when you aren’t teaching? Reading and learning!
