What is the Principal Partnership Project (P3)?
P3 is a team assembled by the Kentucky Department of Education to support principals and other school administrators across the state. This team was the brainchild of Mrs. Jenny Ray, the original P3 Team Leader. Jenny recognized that there was a need for additional principal support from KDE so she worked with leadership to make P3 a reality. P3 continues to serve principals, assistant principals, aspiring principals, professors of principal preparation programs, and many other school administrators through high quality professional learning, resources, and advocating for principals at the state level.
P3 was one of the best professional development opportunities I have had since being in the principal position. So many meetings, trainings, conferences, etc. that we are asked to attend can seem like a poor use of your time when you are so busy in the principal role. That was never the case with P3. At every single event, I gained valuable resources and ideas that I could immediately use. The networking with other principals was a huge asset to this initiative. I am looking forward to this, again, next year!
