I teach for student relationships, light bulb moments, and life long impact both I have on students and they have on me. To be part of a child’s team for a moment of their life is one of the greatest gifts. This all stems from teachers in my life, like Mrs. Watkins and Mrs. Lopez, that did that for me. They encouraged me when life gave me some lemons and helped me turn them into lemonade. To this day, they are part of my life. If I can give that back to my students and encourage others to join this amazing profession, that’s what I want to do!
