My entire K-12 educational experience was touched by phenomenal teachers who consistently showed up, loved what they taught, but more importantly, cared about each and every student who came into their classroom. However, it was my middle school teachers who influenced me the most to pursue a career in teaching. They made me feel seen, encouraged me, and took the time to get to know me and my interests. Middle school is tough…my experience was wonderful because of my teachers. I want my students to know there is someone they can trust and who genuinely cares about them as a student and a person, just like my teachers did!

What continues to drive my passion is watching my students try new things and be successful! They overcome doubt and struggle at times, but they come to realize they are capable of more than they imagined! I love their energy, their jokes and stories, and their creative thinking. Every day is not just a day for them to learn, but I learn and grow from them!
