I teach because I want every student to know they are capable of more than they believe. Many of our students carry heavy stories and face challenges that can make them doubt their own worth. I want to be the person who believes in them when they feel no one else does — to help them see their potential, find their voice, and know they matter.

I was influenced by teachers who saw beyond the student in their classroom and cared about the person I was and would become. They encouraged me to be my best and made me feel seen and valued. I still keep in touch with many of them and strive to have the same lasting impact on my students.
