I teach because it is an incredible privilege to inspire and encourage students. I hope to challenge my students to grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers so that their lives can be determined by their dreams instead of their circumstances.  I was lucky to have passionate and dedicated educators throughout school who inspired me to pursue education. My classroom is one of my favorite places in the world, and I love getting to share it with new groups of students each year.
