Why I Teach
My decision to pursue a career in education stems from a deep belief in the potential of the next generation. I view students as contributors of diverse ideas, creativity, and innovative thinking that will shape the future. My interest in teaching was first inspired by my high school English teacher, whose instruction introduced me to the works of Maya Angelou. This experience illuminated the transformative power of language and the importance of empowering individuals to develop and express their own voices. Ultimately, I chose to become an educator because I aspire to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of students, guiding them toward realizing their fullest potential.
