District certified evaluation plans should reflect and support Kentucky’s commitment of every student being taught by an effective educator.
Local plans should be designed to promote professional growth and to be equitable systems that measure the effectiveness of educators through the:
- Engagement in formative discussions with leadership about progress and summative evaluations that determine effectiveness.
- Application of professional learning designs aligned to the Professional Learning Standards.
- Promotion of self-directed growth in educators and career pathways for teacher leaders that lead to an improvement in all educators’ overall job performances.
