I became a teacher so that kids can have a positive role model who is compassionate and energetic. My greatest objective is to give my students someone who is always in “their corner.” Having someone to believe in you is one of the most empowering feelings for a student.
I love the “aha moments.” The situations where my kids may not know the answer immediately, but they know some context. Without giving them the solution, I ask constructive questions that lead them to finding the answers on their own. I believe this builds my students as problem solvers.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me camping or backpacking.
If I had a superpower, it would be super speed.
